The song playing on the radio is a Spanish lament:
"Pobre Rudolph, los renos muertos! qué triste, no se lo pierda!"
My Foose hood didn't require any modifications...
It's just that it needed some TLC around the shaker hole, like covering tool marks etc...
If you get the same hood without the hole, then it's really a straight shot.
It's made of aluminum so it's a lot lighter than the fiberglass ones.
Now, be careful with Trufiber as they need a lot of prep and it can be costly in labor.
In the end, a good shop will make them look straight hopefully.
Cervini's 2.5 cawl hood for the GT500 front is a great product as well and no prep is required.
Kaenen is also a good brand but not too many style to chose from...

That sucks man, at least you had insurance. I nailed an 8-10 point whitetail in my 91 toyota corolla doing about 70. Payed out of pocket to get her back on the road, 4 months later she burned to the ground (engine fire) when I was sitting at a stop light in Ithica, NY.
Yes very thankful for the insurance! Estimate came back today at $5,800.
He asked what did I want to do in terms of not going back to the stock rebuild.
I said I wanted the GT500 conversion. That's no problem. I provided the parts list to him from the conversion thread in this forum. Hopefully it is complete!
I asked his opinion on the trufiber venom hood and he is very familiar with them and has worked with them before. He said they are a good product and he had no problem with going that route. So he is going to order that with the hood lock pins and all of this should fit within the damage estimate budget.
Thanks to all for your opinions. I may not be able to get pics of the wreck, but I certainly can have before and after shots of the car to post up when it's finished.

Well I did get some cell phone pics at the repair yard. The car will be finished today. I pick it up after work tonight. I can't wait to see it. They said it came out looking really good. As a reminder, I went with GT500 front end conversion and trufiber venom hood. I will post the after pics tonight or tomorrow.
