it may be a waste of money.
but its not much money to waste.
Mobil 1 + filter is about $30 from Walmart.
i change mine every 6 months, and that equates to 1000-1500 miles.
it may be a waste to most, but it makes me sleep better at night.
its only $60/ year. i've wasted more money at a strip club in a few hours.
to me its good insurance, maybe a waste, but its a waste for a good cause, my Mustang.
my advice to the OP is do what makes you sleep better at night.
changing it too early is better than changing it too late.
