Default Exhaust opinions

I have a stock 2005 mustang gt and i really want to get a decent axle-back exhaust that will really increase the sound of my car. I've been looking for a while and can't decide between the Pypes Pype-Bomb axle-back or the SLP Loudmouth axle-back. They both sound great but the Pypes cost $100 less. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money on an axle-back so if you can give me your opinion on which one is better, or any other systems, i would greatly appreciate it.

I have a Pypes system on my '08 GT and I love it. Sounds great, looks great, no issues.

Both are good choices. The SLP LM should be a little louder and raw sounding and the pype bombs will be a little cleaner sounding due to the packing material inside.

If you ever plan to add longtube headers those mufflers might become too loud. Just saying, think about your long term goals too.

I have the Pypes muffler deletes...beware, you get what you pay for.

Looks awesome when installed, and sounds great. but the fitment is pure crap. it still isn't correct, and I have an exhaust leak that I can't get rid of. Going to get them welded on to correct the fitment and leak.

the Pypes are a great initial price, but aren't always the best bet longterm. Hopefully you get a good set if you buy them. They do sound wicked though

The Pypes Super System sounds really good. It's basically their mid-pipe setup combined with their Pype Bomb axle backs.

I have a 2006 GT 'vert. I installed a CORSA system many moons ago and I still love it. All stainless so it should be with me until the end. Zero cabin drone - I mean none. Quiet at cruise, but she sounds off at WOT. Some people gripe at the price, but you get what you pay for.

I have slp axle backs w/lts and an o/r x....it's loud, very loud...know what you want to do in the future, I personally like the sound and my neighbors don't get upset so I don't need to change it, but you might get pulled over for it

SLP is high quality...I consider pypes to be the cheap option w/average quality...not to knock them

I had the SLP Loudmouths for a week, too raspy/loud. Had a set of Borla Stingers for a couple years, nice sound but too much drone. Currently running the MAC Boomtubes and love them. Good luck!
