Default trade in my 07 gt for an 03 cobra?

hey guys i was just posting this for comments/ advice. im 16 with a black 2007 gt with just some minor bolt on and was looking into the kenne bell stage one. i was browsing around and a little dealership is selling a 35k miles kenne bell cobra putting 606 whp for only about 19500. i brought mine over to get appraised and they said theyd give me 17 for mine so about 3k to upgrade to. i love the car but am questioning if a 600+ horsepower car with nitrous is a terrible idea for a 16 year old with 5 tickets. any thoughts or suggestions? heres a link to the car btw

Answered your own question and you didn't even know it. You realize what your insurance is gonna be? Put your $$ toward a college education.

Oh an after thought. Who's gonna be wrenching on it when it breaks? Cause it's gonna break on that kind of power level. Your 07 will be much more reliable in the long run. How hard has that car been pushed? I wouldn't buy a built muscle car someone else did unless I personally know them or the shop that built it.

Keep the newer car.

And yes I do think a 600 HP car is WAY too much just about ANY 16 yr old...
especially one with 5 tickets already. That car is problably set up for the track.
Even if it is plenty streetable, it is not a good idea for you.

Plus the newer car is going to be more reliable and you have no clue what
the last person has put that 600hp car through.

That car is just an all around bad deal for
your case, and could end up getting
you seriously hurt or worse. Enjoy the car you have.
It is great.

I can't believe you seriously even have the guts to consider a car like that 03 Cobra...

1. your 16, you can't handle or maintain that 600+ hp car.
2. you have 5 tickets already... are you trying to get more!?
3. do you have a ton of experience working on your car? taking it apart and putting it back together correctly? do you own all the tools required to take car of a 600+ HP car? do you have the knowledge to keep that car from blowing the motor?

If you can't answer all those questions with a mature, realistic answer, then NO don't even consider getting a stronger mustang.

I concur.....Me thinks the OP has to grow up a bit. Not trying to **** anyone off mind you. 5 tickets???? I have a 16 year old, and if he got 5 tickets..........I'd kick his ***. 16 able to afford a GT, + ins. Then consider a more $$$$ car. Mommy and Daddy must be in the fold somewhere....................just sayin.

if the cobra was completely unmolested i'd say go for it, keep the '07.

ask the parents to buy you a gt500 for a high school graduation present.

Anyone else see that it has a salvage title from hail damage? Chances are that this car was beat on as well........thats the thing about buying used. You'll never really know how it was treated.

I wouldn't do it.......keep the 07
