Hey all,

Just made the purchase yesterday for a 2005 V6 Mustang. Was originally looking for the GT (even previous gens) but I picked up the car for an awesome deal with relatively low mileage (70k). This is the first American car in our family but it's been a long time coming. We also have an 04 Honda Accord (v6) and an 04 Toyota Solara (v6). Looking forward to finding a ton of useful information on here, but first need to figure how to navigate around this site!

Anyways, the car is a lot more powerful than our import v6's and it's all I've been able to drive! I don't think it's going to be an issue racking on the mileage on this one. Any basic mods that are must-haves for the mustang? Thanks in advance for your help.

Below are the only two images I have of the car so far. Sorry for the crappy cell phone quality:

Love at first sight

Also, my Solara:

Welcome to the forum. There are lots of info here and you'll be able to find more than you want to know using the search feature. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the list of TSB's (Technical Service Bulletins) that are tabulated in the stickies on the forum. Not to scare you but at least one of those problems can lead to serious trouble if not corrected.

Performance wise, if you're not looking to go FI (forced induction) then a CAI & custom tune is the first and probably biggest bang-for-the-buck.

Visually, there are more mods than you can shake a stick at.

welcome to the forum! lots of useful info on here. 1 of the first things owners tend to do is switch out exhaust!

thanks for the welcome and your patience. Just clicking around a few times and I already see I posted in the wrong section. intake and exhaust seem pretty basic, and will probably be my first two mods. looking at a sway bar as well to improve handling and probably lowering it. as for now, I'll be a little more behind the scenes until I have a more presentable car. I see some great looking rides on here!
