Default Looking for exhaust on 2011 gt

Hey all...I have my 5.0 completely stock, and I'd like to have some of the awesomeness of the sound I used to have on my 2005 gt with MAC exhaust. MAC doesn't make an exhaust for the 2011, sadly. I've been researching but internet videos can't convey the sound very well. What do you folks recommend in the $500 and below range, that would give a low and guttural growl while not droning....

Check out American Muscle, they seem to have a good selection of axlebacks for your 2011. I was looking at a 2011 GT this am at the dealer while getting my oil changed. Is there enough room with the new rear bumper to throw on a 3" or 4" exhaust?

Check out the Roush exhaust system for under $500.

Look me up when you decide. We have a bunch of specials on exhaust systems right now.

The Borla ATAK systems are really hot right now!!!

Just shoot me the part number to sales@southernmustangparts.com

Ken, what's the difference in sound between the Borla ATAK axle back system and the Borla S-Type axle back system?

Type in Borla exhaust in youtube and you get a comparison. Still, the videos don't really show what it sounds like, I think. No bass. Plus the Borlas are waaaay out of my price range for mufflers.

Thanks for the suggestions! Keep em coming! How about some of these muffler delete systems, like those made by magnaflow, etc. Any ideas?

Based on this, though, I'm leaning toward the magnaflow american thunder exhausts:

And the price seems just right, $331,75 here: http://www.streetsideauto.com/produc...+%2F+302+C.I.D.

What do you guys think?

Thumbs up Sounds Awsome!!

I put on the Magnaflow cat back system with 3" SS pipes and SS mufflers that have 3 1/2" SS polished tips that look and sound awsome. My next mod will be the "X" pipe. Cost was about $800 and worth it.
