Default Want to buy a 2011 5.0 need advice is navigation worth $2,340?

I def want to buy a new 5.0 with manual dark gray..... is the factory navigation worth $2,340? seems like alot but I've look everywhere to find a factory navi center console to swap in so I could buy an aftermarket unit but no luck is it possible to do that?

sorry just dont want to miss out/waste money

I sure don't think it's worth it...how often do you not know where you're going? You can buy a TomTom or other removable nav unit for $200. Go for the performance options, Brembo, 3.73 gears etc...

I think you'll get a ton of mixed responses here. Some people love it and feel it's completely worth it. IMO $2000+ to avoid the "mess" a standalone creates is a very large premium. I just bought a 1450T Nuvi and plan on using it in the mustang. To me, I can hide away the GPS when I want the car to look nice and clean and pull it back out when I really need it.

Honestly for example if I were in your shoes, I'd much rather jump on a brembo brake package than get a navi system.

I guess it depends on how bad you want the electronics package and what your time is worth. In my case, it's much cheaper and looks nicer to add a check in the box when I place my order than it is to spend the time doing whatever it takes to put an aftermarket electronics package in. Not having done it before, I'm guessing it would take me days to do the job right.

thanks for the advice

ya see thats another thing ive read mixed things on the brembo's too that was another thing i was really considering.... Ideally if i could buy the navi bezel later and swap in an aftermarket navi id be set I really hate the stock stereo it just looks really cheap and plain IMO

As for the Nav, it depends on how much you travel.
I know that sounds expensive but I know my relatives Nav in her
Landcruiser was 4k to replace lol.

But as for value.. it depends on how much use you will get out of it.
As I said before do you travel fairly often to big cities, etc. where they come in handy? If so I'd say it's worth it. But dont buy it just for decoration my friend.

I want the electronics package but not for the NAV. I want it for the automatic climate control and other features. We have a NAV in out other car and rarely use the actual navigation function. But to get the automatic climate control you must order the NAV. Yeah it's not cheap but it's priced similar to other vehicles.

I think thats what i needed to hear thanks cause the factory has ipod controls built in right and voice control? so it may not be the best looking in my opinion but $2,340 is 1/3 of a Procharger

I was thinking the same thing, but I went with the shaker 1000 and figured id buy an aftermarket one to take in and out of the car thats better for cheaper.
