Default New Vibrations

Hey everyone,

I think I need a little bit of e-diagnosis.

A little over a week ago I had some tranny work done on my 05 GT. I had the sychros replaced along with the clutch/flyweel (putting in a Ram HDX and Ram Flywheel) and the slave/TOB.

Since I got the car back I am getting some vibrations that weren't there before. One is while cruising at about 70 mph, I get a pretty decent feeling vibration (it appears to be harmonic and follows a sinusoidal pattern). The other is while lazy shifting upon acceleration I get one about 2300 rpm that feel like a shudder (that is about the same rpm as 70 mph is with my 4.10s). Finally while doing low speed manauvers in 3rd (no I don't drive low speeds in 3rd, just end up there in parking lots sometimes), the car doesn't only lug, but I also get some clutch chatter.

The car is back at the shop, but I have the feeling that they are going to try to expressly blame the clutch/flywheel (which I supplied) so they don't have to do anything. I'm wondering if it isn't the install that is a little off. Maybe some alignment or adjustment.

One other weird thing is that when I got the car back the clutch engagement was really really touchy (like it felt like only the last inch of the pedal depressment was the engagement/disengagement, and the first few inches of pressing the pedal was like there was nothing there. This has since corrected itself and it feels normal now, but I don't know if that might not play into it. This is one of the reasons I am thinking install/adjustments.

Anyone have any thoughts? I am trying to educate myself so I can get them to really take a good look at it.

Thanks!

May need to reposition the driveshaft on the rear end flange. Usually they mark the location before they remove it so it is bolted back to the same place. Can cause vibration.

You can experience all those symptoms when installing an aftermarket performance clutch.
