that's retarded, looks like i'm gonna have to wait to put in a head unit until someone comes up with a legitimate design.

I emailed SCOSCHE. They said they cannot locate the opening in the middle due to the factory metal brackets being in the way .....

Here is the METRA install video showing the brackets going down the center ....

I may end up just going with the METRA face plate

That one looks to be like the best solution. I like the Metra one the most.

That one also has the radio on the bottom. Is it cheaper than the schoshe? Is there something else that makes you prefer it? (Obviously electronics is not my strong point. Still trying to find out what is lol).

The Metra unit has the opening more centered than the Scosche Unit. Main reason is that Scosche retains the factory SYNC display .... Metra ditches it for their own display.

Scosche has nicer interface but Metra has nicer implementation. I don't plan on ever using sync again after installing a nice Nav System anyway.

The Metra can be had on eBay for $195 with Free Shipping.

Does this mean that any head unit that you install in the scosche will retain the sync. functions? I appreciate your help on this.
