Default TCI streetfighter installed...old school style!

What's up peeps? Thought I would share a couple of pic's of the install with you. Everything works fine (so far), and is a nice addition to Vanessa's interior. Took about an hour to do with a jack and a couple of handtools, so paying someone to do this is a waste imo. I'm guessing about a 5hp increase, with the autozone provided shift ****...that combined with the push lighter should up it to 7hp.lol
Enjoy

Hmmm... That shift **** actually makes TCI's ratchet shifter look appealing. Very nice.

It just bolted right up? I always though the stock TCI **** had buttons in it for changing gears when not in ratchet mode.

I only have one thing to say and THIS IS IT...

I hope you dont have a bad experience like that guys...

It kinda reminds me of a horses pecker with foreskin.
But then it is a mustang. Grab it and go...

Is that a cigarette lighter I see there? Shame on you...

Yep, 3/8 - 16 thread. Just about any universal **** will work, great for customizing the mod...
Had to adjust my shift linkage alittle to get it dailed in, but overall i'm having a blast with this thing. Great for downshifting out of D, which is what I use it for mostly to help save the brakes. While the good-old computer is great at upshifting, its pretty dumb with the downshift. I roll down in 3rd until she free's up and pop it back into D just before stopping. Also makes the shifting between 3 and D a snap when you are on a switchback road, so this thing would have to be great for an autocross guy.
As for the reported problems, we will have to see. It was just to cool to pass up, and im hoping for the best cause I really like this shifter.

I like the concept of the TCI ratchet and can provide lots of fun upshifting, but wouldn't you rather brake over engine braking?

On a hard to semi-hard stop, I would rather use both brake and engine. Not to say I do it everytime, but catching a yellow or having to slow down faster than usual i do go to 3rd to help with the stop...plus she will give you a wicked growl coming down. Love that sound!

8 Ball got a new buddy today!

So what do you plan on doing about that cigarette lighter?
