2010 Mustang v6 need rotors street/race
Hi, I'm looking for an most affordable set of slotted and/or drilled rotors and pads that are good quality. I race at Virginia International Raceway monthly and my stock just can't handle it. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could suggest a good set of rotors and pads for mainly street use, but durable for the track two days out of the month.
Thank you

Drop down a level into the S197 Handling section. There's a brake thread currently running, and that's where the guys who track their cars tend to spend time.
Here are two links.

Avoid drilled. Holes constitute stress intensification and have been known to crack.
Perhaps you can ask pascal or some other moderator to move this thread down into the handling section. A PM should be enough.

Instead of using the same thing for track and street, consider getting a set of street pad and a set of track pad and swap them as needed. Pads that works well on the track is going to be noisy, dusty, and eats rotors at an alarming rate.
Hawk HPS works well for me on the street and light HPDE days. Heard good reviews with Hawk HP Plus but never used them myself. Skip drilled/slotted rotors and just get good quality solid rotors. Rotors are normal wear and tear item so plan on replacing them as needed.
Don't forget to get a good brake bleeder and bleed the brake before and after each track weekend.
