3.73s or 4.10s on 2011 5.0?

ok, all kidding aside.
you should be fine with 3.73's or 3.55's.
but, if you drag race 4.10's may not be so bad with slicks and upgraded suspension, especially if you stay NA.
i have 4.10's, and TS SC. and its not too much for me.

A lot of people are happy with 4.10's on the 05-10 cars. But the higher gear with the 5-spd is quite a bit different than with the TR6060 or the new 2011 6-spd. Talk to a GT500 owner with 4.10's and street tires.

take a look at what I typed again 302_GT. You can not compare a tr6060 to the new 6 speed.
As far as gearing in first goes rated lowest to highest:
TR6060 (GT500)
3650 (s197 5 speed)
Whatevever comes in the new GT
------
I have more power, am lighter, and using 4.10s with more aggressive 1st then those GT 500s on the same size tire they come with. But knowing how mine drives, and how much more aggressive 1st is in the new GT, I would not do it.

but i also have 420+ tq at the wheels at 3000 rpms, and can burn out in 3rd gear if i want to.
and taller tires also reduce the final gear ratio as well.
you do realize that you don't have to launch at 6000 rpms right?
what about outlaw DR race cars, they can lose traction all the way down the track.
its the driver mod that keeps it straight and so it doesnt lose traction too much.
but let me be clear and for the record, i am not saying for the OP to get 4.10's, i'm sure 3.55 or 3.73 will be great.
all i'm saying is find an application that meets your needs.
