Default 3.73s or 4.10s on 2011 5.0?

I'm in the process of ordering my 5.0 and was wondering if there was any differences between selecting the 3.73s or just getting the standard and then purchasing the 4.10s?

3.73 is the most you want due to the transmission gearing.

With 4.10's you'll need at least drag radials during aggressive launches and shifts, unless you plan to do a lot of pedaling.

I had a long response I just deleted when I saw that they actualy did go with a shorter first. Kinda silly that you add considerably more power AND go with a shorter 1st, so I would tend to agree, go with the 3.73s from the factory and be done with it. 4.10s with a a 3.66 first would just be painfull.

Agree with the above. Stick with the 3.73's unless your planning to use it as a track car.

its not being a wuss, i know with my car I have 4.10s and the 3650 is geared at like 3.38. i want to go with a TR6060 for the power handling and the fact that 1st is down to like 2.97. With the new 6 speed, they went up to 3.66 so a 3.73 rear in theres is more like 4.10s in ours or 4.30s in a tr6060. (nothing exact about that just for comparison sake)

If hes looking at gears it would make sense hes also going to take a already more powerful car and make more power with it also, making the traction worse. Add more gearing in 1st and in the rear end and you have a formula for usless.

yeah, don't be a wuss, you don't need traction in 1st and half of 2nd gear!
