The SCT's allow the user to adjust the rev limiter but as mentioned above, why do you need to? The GT rev limiter is factory set at 6250. Brenspeed set mine at 6800 but I lowered it to 6500 RPM.

Yes, I was referring to the neutral rev limiter. The highest it goes is close to 4,000 RPM. I was told that I could raise the rev limiter, however I wasn't sure what the benefits would be by doing that. From what I read, I don't need to change it, unless I go out on the track, which I do not. With that said, I won't mess with it.
I appreciate everyone's feedback!

No benefit in raising the neutral rev limiter unless you plan on somehow driving your car out of gear . Unless you like revving your engine for the ladies past 4k.

Raising the neutral rev limiter serves no useful purpose. Its there to keep the engine from floating a valve if you rev it up without a load.

Well, today just to see, I reved it up in neutral and it happily went all the way past 6000. Didn't think I had any neutral limiter, and now I know for sure. And sadly I dont have a tune in it yet, so its still stock.

My V6 has it and its around 4000 rpm. I believe the SCT limit adjust only allows the upper limit while in drive to be changed. I made a spreadsheet of all the menu items on the SCT and have added it here. The available settings are immediately below the bold headers in the sheet.

Interesting.....I wonder if the neutral limiter is only geared towards the sixxers?
Thanks for the info Kc5mhb!
