rev limiter?
Owners sometimes like to raise their car's rev limit to avoid having to do an extra shift at the track. If you do not race yours, then suggest leaving the rev limit at the stock setting.
For reference, you should be able to change it with your SCT tuner.
Exactly what do you mean by "revs up to around 4000 rpm"?

Unless you've added something to the car that has increased your power in the upper RPM range, leave the Rev limiter alone.
That said, your stock rev limit should be well above 4000. It should be 6000 I believe. Mine is 6500 atm.

He has a manual, but I also notice its a V6. Not sure what the rev limits on it are, but I still imagine they're well above 4k. Do these cars traditionally limit the RPM's while in neutral, even on a stick?
if you have enough traction, you set your neutral rev limiter to your launch RPM, hold your throttle to the floor. That way when you side step your clutch you just take off. I know with mine, it doens't matter what RPM I side step at. If I do that on street tires, I'm spinning. Before the supercharger I could get away with about 3k if it were warm enough for my tires outside. For the op, you want it as high as you can consistantly launch at without spinning.
