That is a misleading article title. Drag radials is what caused it to break 12s.

The 1.724 60' time tells a lot of the story. I'm sure good air and a well prepped track didn't hurt.

What you guys didn't get drag radials with your cars? I thought it was a stock item.

I hate those comparisons and the companies that back up those comparisons by using that in their sales literature. (*&$^ liars.

Before: 87 octane, winter tire, cold engine in gravel

After: 93 octane, slicks and warmed up on a prepped track.

Look what our Tune did!!!!!!! What an amazing increase in power!!!!!

From that point of view your own statement is misleading. Most people arent going to bolt on drag radials and immediately break into the high 11's either.

Lets keep this real shall we? The cold air and tune was needed to get there. Nothing misleading about that.

And a title is just that, a title. The first paragraph of the article clearly outlines the rest.

This was done months ago in summer air. Temps were in the upper 80's and nice and humid.

We are hoping for even better ET and MPH with actual cool weather.

We have documented on this very forum in early testing what a stock tune/stock airbox/stock tire combo ran, then switched to the cold air on the same day, same track, same stock tire just so we could document the gain.

I'll save you the trouble of using the search function.

Reguardless of how the track was prepped. Breaking into the 11's for under $1000 - $1500 (depending on the w/t) isn't bad.

There are a few companies now that are seeing great gains from a CAI and tune.
