window tint problem

Default window tint problem

my window tint has scratches all over it, i was told that it is from the rollers inside the door. has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how to fix it.

There is a thread on here where someone replaced the stock felt with moleskin. Search for it, and it shows you how to do it step by step

It has something to do with the crappy weatherstrip. That's what's scratching your tint. This is a good replacement.

Replace the inner door belts (weather-strip) with the felt-lined ones used on the 2008+ models ... then you'll have to replace your scratched window tint.

Get the new weatherstrip,that will fix your problem
The part numbers are
8R3Z-6321457-A
8R3Z-6321456-A
I switched mine when I got my tint done,no scratches

A quality tint shop would replace your scratched tint for free, as they should have known that 2005-2007 Mustangs will do that.

I would take it back and make the shop redo it, speaking of tint shops replacing it for free.

Those jokers should have already replaced your weatherstrip as part of the tint service. There is absolutely no excuse why they did not do this; this is nothing short of shoddy workmanship.

+1 for $29 you can't go wrong. Its super easy to install. Get it and be done. No more tint scratches.
