Default Finally! Blower install...

Well not until this weekend! Haven't really shared with anyone but I bought a Vortech V2 intercooled a few weeks back and just have been closing up some odds and ends in order to install it. My tune/tuner will be here tommorow from Justin @ VMP and I should be installing this weekend if everything works out as planned! About the kit... It has a 2.87 pulley (13psi), Saleen heat exchanger and a canton IC resorvoir (relocated battery to trunk). I am expecting around 350rwhp @13psi. Here soon in the future I will be getting an 8.8 (or Tlok w/ 3.73's, depending on which I decide on) an aluminum DS, and around spring time I will be swapping my T5 out for a 3650. I will make sure to take plenty of pictures and feedback for the install!

I don't have a V6, but I'm curious to what the max power is for a V6...

It'll last as long as I want it to... They can hold 400 seems to be... Turbo bad wolf (Jenna) from the Collective is putting down 390RWHP/490rwtq with her turbo set up. Justin from VMP's wife is putting down 395rwhp in her 06' @ 15psi so I'm not worried about it not "lasting". The only thing upgraded motor wise in either of the cars is valve springs... well for Jenna atleast other then that her motor is stock.

I think you should be good. They say our motors will blow up over 500hp on the stock motor....Mine hasn't blown up yet and I'm over 500hp, but I don't drive mine hard all the time and it's not a DD either.

You're referring to the 4.6 that is, I see the point your making.

What else makes me feel better is the guy I bought it from he was running a non-intercooled 8psi for 30k miles on his car then this kit @ 13 (12.6 after restriction) for 50k miles and he had 133k miles and his car still did not skip a beat so 80k miles with FI and never a problem, I'm not worried about it at all lol. Its all in the tune!
