My sister in-law owns a 2006 Audi A4 and her heater/AC just stopped working today, ironic aye. Nothing like NOT having any heat in your car during the winter season in PA with a newborn...

I just read this yesterday and you'd think it would be an easy Google....

I see it's for the 2011 GT however and as was mentioned before I'm surprised they are already saying this as it's a new model year.

I would say that taking the good quality of the 2010 combined with the new engine they expect it to hold it's value really well.

Yeah, I couldn't buy an Audi or a Beemer. I just hear reliability issues out the butthole with em. My one friend who's a mechanic said that BMW used to deliberately set the computer to make parts stop working from the car after they reached certain mileage so the owner would not only not have a warranty left, but they'd end up taking their cars to the dealerships to get them repaired.

This is why I wouldn't be anything BMW/Benz/Audi. Look nice, but you're basically just payin for the name. The car itself is crap.Give me a Honda or Ford anyday.

BTW, OP, why not just sell it privately on ebay or Craigslist? You'd get a lot more for it than you would trading it in anywhere.

Too much hassle to do that because I still owe on it. Surprising about what you guys are saying about audi and bmw reliability as I hear nothing but good things about the newer bmw and audi cars as far as reliability is concerned. I read review after review on the 2010's and 11's and they all get great reviews from their owners.

Let's just put it this way.

I had a 2000 V6 Mustang that was never in the shop and I just performed basic maintenence on it, lasted me 253K miles and is still running to this day.

My aunt had a 2005 BMW, that's been in the shop twice every year since 2007 for random things happening. (A/C stopped working, heat, leaking transmission oil, etc etc)

At this time, they are new vehicles. Give it a couple of years for the bad things to start. Once they do, be sure open up your wallet!! Granted, the quality has improved over the years, but they still can't compete with Honda, Toyota and etc. on reliability/dependability.

I never keep a car more than 3 years, yet alone 4, so I think I am safe on the breakdowns out of warranty since the audi and bimmer both have a 4yr/50k B2B warranty. I just don't want another issue in a new car that the dealer won't fix like with my mustang. Ford will lose my business for many years over their refusal to adequately fix this shimmy issue to my satisfaction.

The audi dealer said he 'might' be able to come close to what I want in trade for my car if it's in as good of condition as I say it is (it is) but I asked him to firm that 'might' to a 'will' before I am willing to drive 2 hours south of here. I have no doubt that they can sell the car for $1-2k more than they give me for it at my trade point and make themselves a bit of money for little to no work. I know dealers though and they say they are flexible and might be able to work with you and when you get there they try to screw you and hope you will just buy it since you came all that way. My dealer that I bought my mustang from tried that and I walked out in a fury thanking them for wasting my time. They called me 3 days later and relented and gave me what I wanted since it was EOM. Bunch of snakes...

Eh no offense but if you Only keep your cars for 3-4 years, why would you buy a v6 stang and expect to get any real trade potential out of it 3-4 years later?

It's a v6 stang. They hold no real value 6 months after you drive it off the lot. Even with super low miles.

Not trying to be mean or anything. But if you get a good deal for the trade in, let us know how it goes. Good luck!
