Default Steeda oil seperator

Noticed this seperator states its for an 03-4 cobra but I've seen on eBay and stated 05-09 mustang, will this work with my car? I thought these were pretty generic besides hose length I guess?

They are pretty generic. Brenspeed has a few options, one of which I believe comes with factory hoses that snap into place.

I bought the steeda unit last year and that POS didnt come with the proper fittings. When I realized this was after I had cut the factory hose, so I was stuck at home with no way to the auto store for the proper parts. I eventually got the proper pieces and it works and it works well. But for that money it should work out of the box. I called brenspeed and complained. Your better off going to home depot and buying the parts. You could put it together for $30. Do NOT spend $73 on that kit.

i had one like that. oil would still get through bc it is so small.
you are better off getting the JLT one.
or any separator is better than that one. basically, i wouldn't waste money on that one.

I have the steeda oil seperator and it seems to be working fine. Its caught oil in the resevoir. Why would another kit be any better at collecting oil over another

look at the hose that comes out of the separator.
mine had oil in it, meaning the oil was getting thru it.
it was collection oil in the reservoir, but oil was also getting thru.

I wouldn't use the Steeda either. It's basically an overpriced compressor line separator. I just spent $13 on the Husky one at Home Depot and fashioned my own lines using Goodyear crank case vent line. I don't expect the thing to filter out all the oil for that price, but it's certainly better than nothing.

I think I've seen a tutorial around here somewhere on how to make your own, anyone know where that is?
