Get the Powered By Ford ones.

1. They look better. I think you just want a high performance badge to make people think things.
2. There is no SVT for the S197
3. It will make you a poser
4. People will be rolling on your *** on the street and what is your explanation going to be for getting completely smoked in your V6 or your excuse for not racing? You will turn into a guy making ricer excuses.

SVT on your car will result in nothing but negatives.
It would be the same to put Lamborghini on your car and you saying you did it because you like
the way it looks.

I want to get a "Powered by Honda" windshield visor sticker!!!!

Yeah....

1)Do your OWN thing, which *most* people are okay with (I haven't taken too much crap for rebadging my car)

OR

2)Stick with what is legit and at least makes sense.

One or the other... but don't badge your car with what it ain't

Idk I think one of the great things about having these cars is that you can do whatever you want to them.
But yeah I think a lot of people on the road and on here will give you crap for it. IMO I think the Powered By Ford badge looks pretty sweet!

I think it comes down to this:
Was your car put together by SVT? I'm guessing not.
Is your car powered by ford? I'm guessing it is.
Ultimately the choice is yours but I'm certainly not going to be sticking an shelby badges on my GT.

Do your own thing, whatever looks good and feels right to you. Don't see why different badging makes you any more a poser than someone with a GT500 wing (which is a common upgrade). I know I've come up behind a 500 wing and as I passed noticed lesser badging, I still give the person a thumbs up for looking good.

Well, here's my thoughts and it may **** a couple of people off, but oh well.

#1 SVT is around for the S197, period

#2 If you put SVT badges or Cobra emblems on your car that isn't an SVT or a Cobra then you are a poser. End of story. No, it doesn't look cool, it's gay to those of us that know it's not a Cobra

#3 Telling someone to "do what you like" and statements that it's cool to be different only go so far, when it comes to pretending you have something you don't, it's not being unique, it's being a wannabe.

#4 If you want to make your car different, then make it different. Putting badges on it that don't belong to make it look like something else that it's not is not being "different". People have been doing that and getting laughed at for years and years.

#5 Putting a GT500 wing is an appearance mod that is common, but when you put the lettering or emblems on the car, then you are posing. At that point you are trying to fool people into thinking that the car is something it's not. This is a pretty wide spread opinion in the Mustang world.

Do whatever you want man, its your car in the end. Whenever I see people re-badge cars or even make up their own trim lines entirely, I just laugh because I think super lame.

Why are some people under the impression that SVT had nothing to do with S197s? If you poke around on a GT500, you can find at least a half dozen SVT logos hidden throughout the car.

But no, don't put one on a V6. It is posing. You will get made fun of.
