suspention issue...

Will the shocks and struts from a gt fit the v6 s197, and will the gt spring be a up grade for my stang?

Yes they will fit they are the same shocks/struts between the GT and V6, and no it won't be an upgrade the GT springs are designed for the heavier GT therefor your car will sit higher then it does now stock.

+1, the nose of your car will raise about 3/4 inch, unless you like the constantly launching look I'd skip that idea and get a V6 specific performance spring.
