I'm not sure why you think that is difficult, The guy would go much faster around the corners without the rear wheel spin. Spinning the rear wheels makes the car easier to steer if you keep the balance right. And the emergency break slide is easy unless you have ABS, then it don't work so well.
Find yourself an older car with no ABS and find a open wet area. Pull the emergency break release and now what you have is rear wheel breaks only when you apply the emergency break. Get the car up to 30 or so and apply the rear breaks (slid the rear wheels) it's easy to slide sideways and straighten out. Unless you go past the balance point then you spin out.
Doing what was in that video is not hard, If you don't believe did that, well that's ok, don't.

You can do multiple doughnuts in a 20' square without hitting the sides? Cool!!!! That's like doing it in my living room. You are awesome.

Seriously, I'm not doubting that you can drift and you might even be okay at it. But if you "can do everything in that video" then make a few phone calls and start earning yourself about $300,000 a year as a top notch competition/stunt driver. There is a BIG difference being able to do something and being good at it. Heck, I could say that drag is easy. Just hold the car straight and shift... piece of cake.

Tie your girlfriend (wearing jeans) to a pole, attach 15 knives to your front bumper and do doughnuts around her until she is wearing shorts but not bleeding. Then I'll be impressed.

I saw a Japanese drifter do something similar, but with balloons. The guy could enter a turn and maintain control to about a quarter-inch tolerance to his "target". Guys like Kawabata, Ken Block, Tanner Foust and Keiichi Tsuchiya do this stuff in their sleep.

*Someone could probably find the video, but I'm too lazy to go look for it, plus I really don't care. I don't drift.

What a coincidence 39mto39g I never said anyone couldn't do it either. It's very clear that you don't get drifting and that's fine but don't get defensive when people try to explain it to you. To each there own man, just let it go.

I really don't mind the trolling by the OP, because we get a good (sorta) discussion and we get to see lots of cool videos.

But, for anyone who doesn't get that this is just clearly a classic troll, look back at the posts. He has gone from:

1) I don't want to be clueless
to
2) I've done it on my dirtbike and once on my V-max
to
3) It's kinda fun on dirt roads and in the snow
to
4) I can do EVERYTHING in that video.... RAWR!!!

He's has gone from clueless to pro-level drifter in a single thread. Damn I wish I could learn stuff that fast.

LOL

Today
I don't want to be clueless but I just don't understand what the big deal is. I have done those things for a very long time.
I'm not sure what a Pro level drifter is, It's just sliding your car with the back wheels spinning, what's pro about that? Unless pro wrestling is real?
I slide the back wheel on my dirt bike when ever I ride it. I did spin the back wheel on my V-Max with my foot down around in a circle.
I have spun around in the middle of the street many times, I never tried to go more than once, but what's the difference, I just didn't call it drifting , I called it spinning my car around in the middle of the street. All you need is a posi unit and a little HP. Troll?????? I just wanted to know what the deal was.

Lazy. Just don't hit the reply button. and Just let it go.

Lost of contradiction here, but really, whats the point of many things we do? Skydiving, drag racing, dancing, video games .................................................. .................................................. ....................

Nothing really gets acheived except a good time if you enjoy that activity.

But can YOU DO THIS?

Hey, at least this guy is drifting in an area smaller than a 20ftx20ft!
That definitely is doing it in the space of my living room!
