Rear seat headrest
LOL, my insurance called yesterday and asked about the options on my Mustang. They asked if it had any of the following options becaues they would increase the value of the car and they would have to adjust my insurance rates to be in line with the correct value of the vehicle. These all important options that would increase my rates were: Engine block heater, floor mats, 3.31 gear ratio, day time running lights, yellow paint, red paint.
WTF? How do floor mats increase value insurance wise? The last thing that would be on my mind after hitting a wall with my car is buying new floor mats. the fu*k?

So Toyota F***s up and now ALL car companies suffer because of Toyota cheaping out?
The rear seat in mine is to carry stuff not people, but its nice to have when my 3 year old son is with me! Anyone much taller then him (38 inches tall) is SOL!

For a short ride around town, the back seat can be okay I guess.

...some questions insurance companies ask are not necessarily related only to the value of the vehicle for a reason. Do you guys get rabblerabble if they ask about the zip code of where the vehicle is usually parked at night? Or if they ask if you are a male or female driver?
Engine block heater could mean a higher risk to insure a vehicle just because its another 'feature' that may go wrong. I would not be surprised if a very small percentage of vehicles with that feature have had catastrophic failures due to improper usage of that particular feature, but again its still another thing that could go wrong, which would put the insurance company in a position to pay for it.
Vehicles with higher gears (like 3.31s vs 2.73s) means its easier to lose control in the right conditions (wet weather, for example)....even if it's just a small difference.
Color could just reflect on possible theft, rarity, or 'personality' of a driver. You all know of a stereotype concerning a speeding sports car with a bright color...like red or yellow.
It's all about risk & values.
