Maybe you just have a bigger difference gauge since you went to a SC and got a huge gain at one point in time you know what I mean?

I mean honestly. The difference I felt when changing wheels was dramatic when it comes to pull. Part of me thinks it's a little denial from the people who love the looks of their 20's.

The other part of me... like the other person says.... thinks its that either the person has big mods to make big power anyways, or really can only tell HUGE performance changes such as 100 HP gains.

And really you talking about other people seeing your tail lights is a null point in this.
This has to do with YOUR ride compared to YOUR ride again hehe.

You know I'm not trying to bash or critisize you Cutter.
I know you know your stuff like many of us here but it just amazes me that you could not tell
a difference.... especially when other mods were tiny.
Na, its all cool Blacksmoke. I think the big thing for me was I bought into all the hipe about there being some big performance loss when going from 18's to 20's so I really tried to see and feel any loss and I honestly could not tell any loss what so ever. I did see much better handling do to the wider tire over my stock 18's but I knew that was going to happen. But every car is different and reacts differently to mods. All I know "as others have stated too" is that they took little to no noticeable performance loss going from 18's or 19's to 20's "Ride quality" is the only thing I saw a loss in at all.

WoW this made some of you go crazy lol but thanks for all the info! Well I think I'm going with 255/35/20 up front & 275/45 /20 out back
this car is going to be more show then go. If I do ever track it I'll just put some slicks on the stock wheels! Hope I made the right decision?thanks again.I'll post pics soon as I get them on.

Just be forwarned that a 275 on a 10" rim will work but may not meet your visual needs. Basically your Rim will be wider than the tire. I have this problem with my 285's and it drives me NUTS thus why I said I would go with 295's. If that is OK with you then go for it but wanted to pass that one last bit along. I'm not sure how much it will change with the 45 sidewall though.

I would go with 295/30/20. Overall diameter would be the same.

You can get Toyo Proxes 4's in those sizes. I am partial to Falken 452's, but I haven't tried Toyo's yet.

Personally i would go with 18s, look absolutely perfect with a little drop, but as far as tire size, 285s+ out back and 245 or 255 up front would be good. good luck.

That should be a nice set if you can find the tires you want in 295/35/20. Their are a few out there. If not 295/30/20 are good and will dang close to the same overal diam as the 255/35/20.

You know there is a wheel and tire section exactly for this, right? Post over there, Jazzer will help you out big time.

Don't know why I forgot to mention that...
