Default How do you replace the shaker system?

Hi. I am curious about how I replace this system. I'm sure it was nice at one time, but I've got a blown speaker, and I was told that I couldn't just replace one speaker in that system. Do I just have to replace the amp or do I need to do more than that? I'm really wanting to run Kenwood Excelon's all the way around, but I can't even find a straight answer of what size speakers I actually have. I really appreciate any advice/help.

This would be moreso for the audio section, but since you're new, I guess we'll let it slide.

If you only want to replace one speaker, it'd probably be easiest to find one on ebay or on the classifieds here on this site. If you want to replace all the speakers, I don't see why that would be a problem. I believe many people have done just that without touching the amps/headunit/etc. and are pleased.

As for the size, I believe they are 5x7, but both 5x7 or 6x8 will bolt in the stock location no problem.

Thanks for the help. I'll figure out this whole forum junk eventually.

im not sure about the 05s and up but i know in the 99-04s you had to replace all speakes and you had to bypass the amps too. unless you just want to replace it with another factory speaker but you have to make sure its one for the shaker because it will be different ohms than the say a base speaker
