Sadly, with the trusty ol' pickup nearing n-stage deterioration, the approach of colder weather and my '06 order still clean/unscheduled/unserialized and unallocated to my dealer I made the difficult decision yesterday morning to pull the plug. Whoever is sitting at my prioriy +1 at the local Ford shop is now one step closer to their Mustang.

For me, I was able to assuage my sorrow rather nicely, I think. My thanks to the good folks at Shneider + Nelson Porsche & Audi in West Long Branch, NJ for allowing me to take the last '05.5 A4 Quattro off their hands for dealer invoice. I took her on a 20 mile test drive and fell in love. Every option on the list, plus the dealer-installed aero kit.

Sorry to hear that Rutgersfan. Being from NJ as well I was looking forward to whos order would get pushed through first.

The longer mine goes C/U, the more I consider just getting one on ebay and settling on exterior and interior color.

Your right about the threat of the cold weather coming. I was really hoping to have it and have a little fun with it before the roads are covered with wet leaves.

As for me, though, I think I'm going to ride it out. I also think being where we are our wait is even longer then everyone else.

Sorry to hear you won't be a Mustang Addict like the rest of us.

But... you still did good... I had a 99' Audi A6 Quatro and it was a GREAT car. Sure was funny to see Jeepers and Bronco Boys lookin at me funny as I flew by them slinging mud going up a muddy fire road in Colorado in it!

There is still hope.. you can hold out for the Cobra in 07!
