Itd have to happen sooner or later.

My vehicle has under 600 miles already the black plastic from the ft wheels back to the mid rocker -lower door is peppered with micro chips . Grey primer shows through.

When the same happened to my 87 5.0 ,(white) I just b/t 'd the chips, (all 10,000) of them and forgot about it ..

White is such a good color for that reason.

Now in a Grey GT, the chips are more visible. Esp the way they have made the black piece at bottom of door,rocker. Shows the chips as a "fuzz"

Sure its middle of winter ,Ive kept the car garaged to hide from the weather . Just a trip to dealer and back , some road "testing".

Browsing other forums , seems everyone with low cars with wide sticky tires suffers tha same..
To the extent a kit is offered to corvette owners(others i presume) that is a clear plastic applique that keeps the pain primo while rocks bounce off.

So perspectives please on how you deal with rocker ,lower panel chips . Do nothing ,b/t as needed?


Sure Ive suffered rocker panel chips before but the 87 was chipped up before I bought it whereas the 11 is getting them very fast.
