That sounds like low power from the battery, you should have it tested.

I have had the stock battery in there since I bought it. That will be the first thing I get checked.

Just a suggestion, but when it is cold especially winter I like to turn the key on and let the electricity "flow" if you will...for a few seconds, then crank the engine. Good luck.

Where'd you get YOUR degree in electrical engineering? You must be a comedian.

Yup, with my 08 the place to strap in the battery was too tight for a standard duralast, so I had to spring for the gold/plus or whatever version(its the smaller, all black one) was kinda annoyed, but its just "one of those things".

C'mon, max... "...turn the key on and let the electricity "flow" if you will...for a few seconds, then crank the engine..."

FWIW, turning the key to whatever the position is called prior to cranking ("ON" or "ACCESSORY"?) does NOT allow any current flow nor energize the starter. In no way does this "prime" or warm up or do anything to assist the starting system.

Next thing you'll be telling us is that you remove the "710" cap to add oil.

So this weekend my battery finally crapped out on me before I was able to work on it. I went ahead and read some "dead battery" threads and man is there a lot. I went ahead and tried to remove my battery but I just could not get the negative clamp off for the life of me. I read people buying charging cases and charging them over night but I really don't want to deal with that. My final question is...If I bought a newer/betterer battery would that solve my "leak" issue for the most part?
