Default Shorty Headers

This might have been covered once before but I was wondering if shorty headers are worth it. I have been making mods here and there like the CAI new flowmaster etc and next on my list are the shorty headers. but for some reason I can't bring myself to buy them at least not yet. sure they increase and torque its just I'm not sure and I feel like the money could be spent else where. but who knows maybe on a v6 is worth it but I was wondering what everyone else though thanks everyone

Nope, this topic was never covered once. Maybe a few hundred but certainly not once.

IMO, they're not worth the time and effort. Too little gain for the cost and install. What mods do you currently have?

He's correct full tube or keep it stock. Shorties were good and made a sort of worth it difference on the Fox body stangs.

lol glad someone else agrees thought the same thing but as of now not that much depending on how you look at it but I got american thunder axle back exhaust, steeda strut tower brace and bbk CAI for a no tune (although I'm mostly likely going to purchase a sct tuner from american muscle anyway) other then some little interior mods and a new antenna thats it for now

Long Tubes or nothing is what I say. Throwing too much cash in the toilet with shorties.

You'll get much more gain from a tune than from the shorties.

thats what I thought too with the tune I feel like I would get more of it that way then anything else the headers are nice but there not really adding much performance gain or torque thats worth buying and having them installed so I think I will call it at the tune for now

Dyno pull before my blower was installed with only a 93 tune and shorties:

289.12whp
307.41wtq

Not bad I say. I prefer shorties because of emissions, though.

Just a personal take.
