"Performance" and "Budget" don't go together

Remember, most cases you get what you pay for...

I would suggest saving up more $ to get the CAI & Tuner together. I don't know how you feel about buying used but you could get a used CAI for the money you have now but that's no tuner. You then would have to save for a tuner, but you would be half way there. OR there is a guy selling a used SCT X3 Tuner in the classified section right now for $200.

For example, I bought my intake and tuner used at seperate times and saved money because of it. My intake was bought from a friend that worked my area Ford dealership for less than $100 and I bought my (unlocked) tuner from a forum member also for less than $100. If you are patient, great deals are out there.

Good luck.

To the OP this is only the 9 millionth thread like this around here. Seeing as you are on a budget, let your fingers do the walking and start some research. This question gets beat to death.
Mods are an investment and with any investment the more time and effort you put into them, generally the better they come out for you.
I think someone in this thread said "mods and budget don't go together" that was right on! Don't let US TELL YOU how to spend the money, get an idea and ask for specifics.

Craigslist
Mustang Forum Classifieds (I search 3 different ones daily for deals)
eBay

One night when you are bored, go on eBay and just start looking. Search for items you want, and then try searching for the same item, but with a common way to mispell it. For example, many people mis-spell Roush with Rousch or Rouch. These items don't get pulled up in searches, and you can get deals of a lifetime.
I grabbed genuine Shelby Louver Deletes for $10 that way. The typically go for $80-100. It happens enough that you'd be amazed at what people don't catch.

Or the SCT #3000 that I got for brand new @ $169 shipped. Awesome deal

I disagree. I've saved a ton of money just by looking around and grabbing the deals. I've got 4 kids. So you had better believe that anything my Mustang gets, it's strictly budgeted out.

exactly. Everything on my car is brand new, but I certainly didn't pay full price for it. Except the spoiler and SHR louvers. For my color, it's pretty much impossible to find those. I probably have $3,000 in mods in the car at this point, but maybe $1,500 actually spent.
