Default VMP 500hp kit installed, dyno tomorrow

Well i just finished installing the VMP 500hp kit on my car. I installed the smaller pulley and a 90mm idler along with a 93 octane tune. i used the VMP pulley removal tool and it was honestly a snap. i had to run buy a 1 1/8" socket to do it, but other than that it was a breeze. i had a tune for 93 on my 05 from brenspeed that had bad detonation that i could never use.

i was really nervous about the 93 tune with boost, especially considering that is the only tune Justin sent me until he gets the datalog back. i took the car on a quick run just to be sure it didn't throw any codes or anything since the dyno place is over an hour from home. i didnt; run the car hard, but i listened like crazy for and detonation and heard none. Car seems fine, no codes, i can tell it has quite a bit more power. I went slowly to WOT once listening for any detonation and at WOT it looks like about 9 pounds of boost, was 5-6 before.

My dyno appointment is at 10am tomorrow, looking forward to it! i am hoping for 420-430whp. Justin says 420-440 range is normal.

anything but a new motor! i jsut installed the shift light and k-memeber brace with torque limiters. i have some othe rmod loot laying aroudn, but can;t decide what to do next. if i hit 430whp i realyl dont want to push the stock block any mroe than that with the heat we get here in teh summer i want some padding.

im thinking about that ViS hood that looks like the Saleen hood for 10's. i was set on getting an aluminum DS and then read a few posts where the people didn notice that much difference in the real world and started reconsidering. maybe headers, but i want cats and that limits the options and i have read a few threads around about aftermarket cats not working out well with boosted cars. so for the first time sicne i bought the car im not sure what to do.

i did make a good deal for some HID heads and fogs that i will install soon. i still have that new pony emblem for the grill coming too.

I'm really interested also, as I bought the same tune a couple of days ago, but my M90 is still in boxes until I get some time off, man I can't wait.

Congrats Shane, let us know, my 08 with the M90 (stock pulley) laid down 393 to the wheels. I'm eventually going to get the VMP 500 kit as well.

Don't give up on that aluminum driveshaft plan. The stock driveshaft is a pig and you WILL get results if you track your car.

Hey Vader, what other performance mods are you running? And are you auto or manual? I was just wondering what mine is putting down with just the M90 spinning the auto.
