Default windows issue

Has anyone ever had an issue where their windows would roll down by themselves while trying to roll them up? This normally occurs when I'm driving over speed bumps, turning the headlights on and off or when im adjusting the climate control. I noticed that I had the same problem when I had my 2006 4.0.

Yeah it gets extremely annoying. It only happens when you got to use the auto "up" mode. If you dont pull the switch all the way it doesnt happen. Happens to me sometimes when I try to do both at the same time when the headlights are on. Weird

I experience the same thing when I use the auto-roll up and I get in a hurry and take the key out of the ignition before they have had time to go all the way back up. They wind up rolling back down on me.

As for having them roll down from speed bumps, messing with the AC, turning the lights on and off, etc, no, they have not rolled down on me in those cases.

I've noticed odd issues with the passenger side window as well. It's happened so rarley, that I've not yet nailed down when it's happening. For a time I thought it was when the back windows were down (on the Convertible model) but it did it the other day when the back windows were up.

Yeah, I forgot to mention it happens when I use the auto roll up function. Do you think it might be the wiring?

The 'wiring' for the windows are self contained in the motors themselves.
There is very little connection to the rest of the vehicle wiring.
For the most part, they are self-contained, logic boards and all.

Try releasing the auto-up button with a little more authority.
When it happens to me, I was being lazy and quick brown fox
on the auto up button and when releasing it, accidentally
bump the down selection. A bump will cause this inadvertent
operation of the switch functions as well...
Its the inertia and the bump back feature combined with the
Gs pulled when the bump is encountered.
