Default Boss seats

Finally a vendor is selling the Boss Ford Racing recaro seats (M-63660005-MB)

http://www.281motorsports.com/produc...oducts_id=2564

281 Motorsports has been the only company that I have seen post a price of $1049 for a pair. They only list the seats for the '10-12 but I am hoping to put some in my 2007. Does anyone know if the seat mounts for the 05-09 and '10 are the same?

That's actually not too bad as far as pricing on seats. The corbeua's I put in my RX-7 cost slightly more than that.

Ooooh, just thought about why they might be so cheap. Do they have the airbags in them or not?

Cause if they don't have the airbags, we'd be staring at a nice warning light on the dash, unless of course they take account for that and have a dummy light eliminator in them.....

I have a question about the Boss seats:
Just how comfortable are they? As racing seats, I assume that you cannot tilt them forward or backwards or adjust lumbar support, or raise them up or down.
Of course, the head rest is not adjustable; you cannot even raise or lower them.

For me, maybe these are not an issue since I am not a tall guy, but for someone who is tall, the headrests not being adjustable might be a discomfort.

I assume you can only scoot them forward and backwards and have absolutely no access to the back seat. Thus rear seat deletes from the factory Bosses.

Man those seats are awesome, I to wonder if that price is with/without the airbags? Really not that bad price wise let a few vendors get them in stock&some competition going and by end of summer you can probally get a set for around $700 or so which would be the price point I go for as I've got about that much for my next mod but I'm looking at a seibons cf stalker hood

Given how much time and effort went into the boss, I bet the seats are very comfortable. The seats do not come with airbags, and I am willing to bet the weight sensor for the passenger is not included either.

They have no airbag label on the side ... so possibly they don't support side airbags. Since the BOSS is basically a Base GT ... I would assume they don't support power passenger seat either.
