Boss 302 "The best of all current Mustangs"
#13
Yes, the Coyote is a lighter engine to begin with over the 5.4L. I'ts a great base of an engine to build up on, and even if you put in true forged internals, it is still a lighter engine than the 5.4L.
Also, the Boss as a whole car is lighter than the gT500 as well; and I think the suspension is tuned better for superior handling performance over the GT500.
The GT500 will stomp the Boss power-wise and in a drag race, but not when it comes to handling and nimbleness such as autocrossing.

According to the tester, it's all about balance. They mention the GT500 as being nose-heavy and over-powered for its' tires. THEY feel the Boss handles better, hooks up better, and therefore uses its' power better. I say kudos to Ford for offering a Mustang for every taste and every budget. I'll take the GT500, thank you.

Yeah I'd take the GT500 too.
You watch.... I bet ya anything they are full of BS on how many of the BOSS they will make. It will change and they will end up like the GT500.
Ford said they were making the BOSS unique and that you could not just "go buy the parts to make your own." , here they are now though offering parts to do almost just that. It's a forward gimmick to boost the initial sales and so that people will also PAY more at first to get ahold of one. Wait and see.
