The problem I see is that if your stock engine blows simply because of a build defect and you happen to have a custom tune on it, there is no way they are going to take responsibility for the problem.

I keep hearing problems with this new 5.0 I drove I didn't like it and the more I read the more this engine can't handle crap especially on a first year run model! I love my 07 gt more and more!

I'd ask for the burnt piston and other parts back and get a professional opinion that may back up his story....just a thought

Thanks for sharing... If you read the thread, you'd have found that 5.0s aren't blowing up but rather there was one serious idiot that did something that was asking for it.

You should do some research, the new 5.0L can handle more than the 4.6L.

That is not that true. The stories you hear, I can almost guaranty that each and every case, the fault was not the engine it self, it was the owner putting on unwise mods on it.

Just like this Noxer dude in the OP's link: there is so much the guy is leaving out. And due to the handle being "Noxer" that speaks almost for itself; the guy loves nitrous and there is a very strong possibility he F***ed up his Coyote with unwise nitrous shot amounts on a stock (non-forged, on stock very high 11:1 compression ratio) short block.

If anything, I have read more about the chinese made Getrag MT82 failing, but this is the first story I have heard of a Coyote failing.

As long as you're happy.
Not sure where you are getting the idea that the 5.0 "can't handle crap" though. You might want to do some research. On second thought, don't. I wouldn't want that little bubble you live in to burst.

You can say that again. Mine is all stock except for the tune and a CAI kit and that 412hp throws me back into the seat.

He'll, maybe I am just feeling the major difference in power as compared to the four bangers I used to drive

Pure bologna!
They have proven themselves to handle boost DESPITE the doubts at first because of the compression.
Read your TRUE sources of information.

Stop listening to every idiot on the internet who has done stupid crap like put on a blower with huge boost and rev the engine to 7k RPM and miss and downshift instead of upshift.

Im still not a fan of the body style but the Coyote has proven itself in a very short period of time buddy.
I know you want your engine to be the best.
I own an 06... but guess what. Mr. Coyote is better.
