No way do you drop it.....full coverage no exceptions. Start a business that requires you to use your car, then gain a big write off on your taxes.

You would be much wiser to go back to full coverage and increase your deductable. Don't make the same mistake I did.
+1 Increase the deductible to reduce your rate but do not drop collision/comprehensive. The only case that I would say going to just liability is acceptable is if you have no qualms with walking away from an accident with nothing. Example: My second vehicle is a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. If that thing gets totaled and I walk away with my life that is enough for me. I have just liability on that vehicle.

no points, then I would shop around to different companies. When I first got my 2010, I was with alstate and was paying 225 per month. I switched to progressive and it dropped to 140 per month. Now I'm wih geico and it's down to 107 per month, 500 deductible, mid grade everything else.

I'm 24 with no points on a brand new car

If you cant afford to replace it, you need to insure it.

A tree could fall on it, some one could steal it, You could get into some kind of a weird pile up and it becomes a no-fault accident.

And even if some one else crashes into you, they could dispute it. You could be tied up in court for years. "Because the insurance company knows that eventually you will just give up"

I was involved in a 3 car accident " 2 cars collided and 1 skidded into me."

It took almost 2 years to get that settled. With full coverage, you know your covered.

The medical coverage alone makes it worth while.

If you have no other choice then do what you have to do to pay bills, But Ionly reduce your coverage as a last resort.

You might try shopping for insurance from a different company.

It doesn't sound that high to me.
You are 21 with a Saleen... I could be wrong though I have never really looked at insurance rates.

Whow... just whow...

I am paying 2 grand, for an entire year. And that includes my 05 GT AND the wife's 07 GT/CS vert. My opinion -> You are the one driving, so if you drive safe and proactively there is no reason to pay top dollar for the best insurance out there. Now, if you have a history of accidents, I would keep paying what you pay. You might end up needing it.
