An annoying electrical problem
Ok, this is going to be a little long but I would appreciate some help. I was driving on the highway today when I noticed my traction control light was flickering. It would come on then go off for a second or two. I tried to count the intervals but it was irregular and random. Then I had to tap the break to take off cruise control and my stereo turned off then turned back on. It did this every time I touched the break on the highway after that. When I got off it wasn't s regular. It would do it every once in a while but it would still happen. I parked my car and when I turned it off instead of the stereo staying on, everything died. When I started the car up again, it started fine, but the radio was in demo mode (Pioneer 3200BT) and the mileage on my gauge cluster was back to the total mileage (I had it on trip). The radio isn't new its been installed for about 4 months now and this is the first time anything has happened. I'm just wondering where I should start troubleshooting.

I'd begin bt checking the health of your charging system including the battery. The alternator and battery are both weak components and are often the cause of various electrical gremlins. Assuming the electrical system checks out ok, I'd look into the water leak issue TSB but most of the water leaks tend to be with the earlier S197's.
