2012 Stangs
SkipS*** is unfortunately here to stay, at least for awhile.
As for other differences between the '12 vs the '11, the '12 gets a variable electronic steering. One setting for the street and the other setting for performance.
And the '12 GT 300a package is $500 cheaper than the '11 GT 300a ppackage.
The premium packages were increased over the '11 premium package prices.

I think the SkipS*** actually stops giving forced feedback through adaptive learning.
For the first week or so, my SkipS*** gave me feedback lock-out, but after jamming the gear in anyway, I think eventualy the ECU shut off the forced feedback.

I got rid of skip shift too, it's called unplugging the solenoid on the transmission. Takes like 30 seconds after you jack the car up.
As far as the visor goes, it'll work just fine.
The other feature that was added was selectable steering effort. In my mind that's pretty awesome.

Going with an aftermarket tune will could wipe the ECU's stored knowledge of adaptive learning. Well, that is moot if your tune eliminates SkipS***.
Or if you return to stock, the processes reflashes the ECU and resets adaptive learning here too.
For me, I like the default performance steering effort setting of my '11 GT (which happens to be the only steering effort setting, LOL).
