FYI to the guy who uses #7 polish instead of wax...you might want to look into that. It is NOT a wax with all the corresponding protection...

as long as he puts a wax over the polish he's ok, right?

Yeah of course. He's just addressing the fact that polishes aren't protective but rather they treat the surface, usually with regard to removing minor scratches and problems in the clear. Then after you polish, you should always wax for that protective layer.

sounds like its just creme wax. with some marketing thrown in the mix.
polish has a slight abrasiveness, if you dont need paint correction, just use wax.

Some polishes are slightly abrasive and some are not abrasive. For example, Meguiar's says that its #7 glaze is a pure polish and is not abrasive.

Finally got to use it today. I mean its OK, its nothing great but the thing I love about it is the fact that you dont have to worry about getting it on the black plastics. I had the whole car done in about 20 mins and I took my time at first to get used to it. I already had a coat of wax on the car, but it gave me a decent idea on how it worked. Im not going to say "hurry run out and buy it", but it is something to try.

By now just about everyone has seen the Armor All Butter Smooth ads that have been popping up in the forums. Has anyone used this yet?
The stuff looks interesting, but not as interesting as the guys helper.
