Bought my first Mustang when I turned 50. Love the muscle cars. Gotta love the 50+ age bracket ... enough disposable income to buy the toys, but still young enough to still play with them. I have a ZR1 Corvette too ... they make quite the pair. Its more difficult staying out of trouble now than when I was a teenager.

Forgot to ask in my previous post ... what kind of gears are you considering? I would like to make a change from stock also.

BTW your car looks great. From the pics it appears to be very low mileage.

The "other woman" is right, you will spend twice as much money on her and your wife will be just as jelous as if it was a real woman! Welcome to Mustang madness.....

Thanks Everyone......Yeah at 55 I decided it's now or never...Haha

Haven't been this excited about a car in a long time.......I've owned some nice cars over the years but nothing compares to that Mustang at WOT...pure adrenaline rush

Been reading (here) alot about the gears....seems there's a ongoing debate between 3.73 and 4.10

I guess I'm leaning towards the 3.73, but dont know if its that much of a gain over the stock 3.31.....would love to know what you all think....I have a 5 Spd

Anxious to get to the track and let the Beast run !! Am I realistic shooting for mid 13 seconds in the 1/4 mile?

It's Sunday, a beautiful day in SoCal.....that means MUSTANG time !!!

I'm going to practice staying UNDER the speed limit today....Hahah

Thanks Everyone !!!

1. I went from a 3.31 to 3.73 and yes, I could definitely feel a difference. Do you do a lot of highway driving? If so you might want to opt for a 3.73, but if not, 4.10 is a great gear for the street. If you plan on throwing a supercharger/turbo on, that would/could also alter your choice of gear

2. I'd say that's pretty realistic. There's a lot of factors that can determine times, but I'd expect mid-13's

3. HA good luck with that haha
