ah i stand corrected. thank you sir. but its not like the old days where they had to make x amount of cars to compete in x race. I think it will start to get to the point where edition mustang will compete with each other.

bring back the LX
like in the fox bodies. the LX was a cheaper GT.
instead of getting these specialty GT's that cost more with more frills
have a lower budget LX with less frills, but still has the 5.0 power
the 5.0 hasn't been around since the fox, except the 94-95
so why not have a lower budget 5.0 LX

The Boss 9, a truck motor? Not hardly.
And I don't think reaching 700hp would be a problem at all.
NASCAR engines are 358ci and push close to 650 ponies.
And the S197 can make room for that mill with no problems and I bet that the GT500 5.4 is even wider (taller for sure) than the old 429

Though I found a video of the 777 project. 800hp on E85

Using the 6.8L truck engine? Heck, if you were to go V10, I would V10 the Coyote; extend and add two additional cylinders and turn it into a 6.2L Coyote, retain TiVCT and head design, and you get the same high revving ability but still the advantage of more displacement.
The problem here I see is you run out of engine bay space. You will have the front of the block punching a hole into the radiator and no space for the fans.
