Default Auto driver's side window

When I use the auto function to put the drivers side window up sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries. It goes up a few inches then back down. Is this a sensor isuue? Motor?

Any thoughts?

Have you tried resetting it by bringing it down all the way and holding the button for about 3 secs and then bringing it back up and doing the same thing? I had my auto function completely go out at some point so somebody told me to try that and it worked-- that might be your solution as well

What olvanish describes is the window calibration procedure that you'll find in the Owners Manual; you know: it's that thing buried in the glove box, made of paper and cardboard, has all these odd black marks on the pages...
