05 mustang body paint job

those black stripes are probably vinyl and can be pulled off using a heat gun or hair dryer on a warm day. Only thing is, you car being a 2005, it may leave an impression of the stripe with the paint behind it darker than the rest of the car.

A quality paint job is not cheap. I paid $3K once back in the mid '90s to have a car repainted. The guy painting told me you pay for what you get. He painted show cars a lot so I knew he would do an exceptional job.

Wrapping is OK, but not "my" cup of tea.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the car and how many miles?

Sounds like he is talking about the black plastic lower valance and rockers, if I recall, some early models werent color matched and just textured black... they are pretty easy to remove and have color matched to the car, may be $500 if you get the right shop. Requires sanding the parts down and fill primer to smooth out prior to painting.

I don't think he was talking about the rocker panel because in the link he provided of a car similar to his, it showed a black stripe on the bottom/side of the car.

Also, I don't understand what you mean by "early models".....all the '05-'09 V6 Mustangs had the textured rocker panel. It was also used on the Shelby GT500 KR as well as the flat (or low profile) spoiler on the '07-'09 V6.
True, you can switch out the rocker panel for a GT matching colored one, but I find the textured one to be just fine for me. It hides any rock chips or tar that can accumulate in that area.

I paid 10,000 for it. It is a 2005 convertible, but the top is not working. And there are 50,000 miles on it. And it need some repair about the fuel gauge and brake.

Hmmm front what I recall, I think the lower portion of the stock grille was just black. When I had mine, the previous owner hand painted the bars silver. Is this what you're talking about?



And are you shy to post a picture of your car? lol

You can spend anywhere from $500 to $2000 on wraps depending on the quality.
