Default How much for a GT500 brake kit

A few days ago I posted a question about GT500 brake kit's compatibility with the rims I currently have and found out that it wouldn't work with my 18x9 Bullitts. With my tires being just a few weeks away from getting replaced I figured I'll just get the 2010 GT500 style 18x9/18x10 wheel/tire combo for 1100, sell what I currently have for about 500, and end up paying less money than I would if I went ahead and simply purchased 4 tires AND end up with new set of rims. They are currently out of stock on the set I want so I'm standing by for that. However, I ran into a used GT500 brake kit on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Musta...Q5fAccessories
and I was wondering how much would you pay for something like this considering there are no hoses or rear pads included and considering the fact that the kit has 13k miles on it? Also, would I be able to pick up the hoses at the Ford dealership? How much do they run for? Thanks in advance!

I picked up a complete set of used GT500 Brembo's for $650 a couple of weeks ago. It came with dust shields, rotors, hoses and pads. It also came with the rear calipers, rotors, hoses and pads. That Ebay listing is too much at $1,000 "buy it now" price. You can pick up a set of Russell's braided brake lines at Jegs.com for $107.99. That's what I did.

I paid $400 for mine, and they had only 3k miles on them. Plenty of vendors offer upgraded stainless steel braided replacement hoses that you can use. Keep an eye out at team shelby forums.

Many of the GT500 guys replace their brakes, and offer their Brembos at a good price. Even brand new they shouldn't cost more than $1200 - 1300

I watched prices on eBay and several forums for about 2 months and the cheapest they got were low $600s. Unless you get damn lucky, you won't find a used kit much cheaper than that.
