I came across these illuminated door sill plates while browsing amazon and I was wondering, why does it say they can only be used in 2010-2011's? They look nearly identical to the door sill plates in my 2008, has anybody tried these on an earlier model s197? I think they would be a cool appearance mod for shows and whatnot. Also, it says it works with mycolor, would there be a specific wire under the dash I could splice it to and work and change colors or would it be easiest to just splice it into a powered wire so it is always lit up but remains one color?
