Default Need advice on audio setup!!

I bought a pioneer 3200bt headunit about 6 months ago and it really woke up my system. However i listen to a lot of rap and the stock shaker 500 speakers/subs dont really cut it. Anybody got some advice on which speakers i should replace and with what to make it sound good without dumping tons of money into it? thanks

my advice to you would be to stop listening to rap.

Have the same HU but also added kickers in the rear and some boston acoustics in the doors. Huge improvement. Crutchfield had them priced good.

I'd say go with some decent speakers (I went with some kenwoods and a 4 channel amp to power them) and a 10inch or 12 inch sub in the trunk. You can set it up so the higher bass goes to the 8 inch subs in the door and the low bass will go to the sub in the trunk. If you still want a little more, there are companies that make 8 inch subs that will fit in the doors, and I think shelby makes an upgraded amp you can put in the doors too.

Easiest way to do this is to buy a good pair of components for the doors, disconnect the 8's. Don't use the rear speakers, buy a couple of 8's or 10's subs with a 5 channel amp. You will have a great front stage and the lows in the back, this is what I did sounds excellent.

i have a kicker sub and an alpine amp, the kickers came as a set of 2 but i only bought one, and i went with a $100 ported box, everything else (sound wise) is stock on the car, my sub hits harder than most of my buddies with dauls, so what ever you get buy a good box, it makes the world of a difference.

btw ported box for rap...sealed for everything else, it just sounds better that way.
