Default Is this normal?

I purchased a new 2011 GT with Brembo brake package in February. It has about 2800 miles now. I hear a creaking noise (from the front area - springs/suspension?) when I go over a speed bump - at slow/normal speed.

Does anyone else hear this noise? Is it normal?

I am going to take it to the dealer when I can get time off but I wanted to get your input about this in case they tell me that it is considered "normal" and do nothing.

I have not hit any potholes or anything that would potentially cause suspension damage.

Thanks for any help.

I have a 11 with the Brembos. Bought in March and now have 2000 miles. No creaking to report.

Thank you for the feedback. I assume that you don't hear any suspension type noise - even going over speed bumps?

Thanks again

Just to double check, I turned down the radio and Windows. Didn't go over any deed bumps, but did go thru some dips near my apartment including the big on going into the parking area . No creaking or unusual suspension sounds to report.

I'd doubt there's anything seriously wrong with your suspension setup, but likely there's something rubbing in there, which isn't a good thing. I'd say if you can just have the dealership take a look at all the suspension connections (or do this yourself) and see if there's any obvious signs of rubbing where there shouldn't be, or excessive rubbing in places where rubbing will naturally happen.

Thanks for the feedback. Doesn't seem to be normal based on your comments. Yes - it is a sound like something is rubbing/creaking when going over a speed bump. Just wondering what it could be...

I will take it to the dealer and post the results.

I have a little clunk/creaking when I turn the wheel hard. Sounds like maybe its similar to what you hear.

Mine is developing this symptom as well. I have 2400 on my '12.

Mine only makes the creaking/squeaking suspension sound when I go over a speed bump - at 2-5 mph. No noise when turning. Seems to come from the front, especially passenger side suspension area.
