Default I have made up my mind and getting the mustang.

I'm going to place an order for the 2012 mustang GT premium stick this week or next week. What budget is a little tight so I was wondering which package/s you'd recommend. I was thinking about the Brembo Brake package, it comes with 19'rims and bigger brakes but it has no spare tire just a mobility kit, what is this kit anyway? is it better than having a spare tire?

None of the 2011 or 2012 mutangs come with a spare tire. Is it better than a spare??? I say no, but honestly, I haven't had to try it yet. You should get 5 years road side assistance from ford though that will help if the tire is totally shredded.

Ummm. I think you mean none of the Brembo brake package cars come with a spare, right? My '11 auto has a spare tire.

So do I, but that's another story. Sigh.

The only options that are a MUST for the Mustang are the Brembo brakes and 3.73 gears, nothing else matters.

I would definitely get 3.73s at the absolute minimum. Go onto Ford's website and build a car and look at all of the different options.

I don't have a Brembo car but, most guys get a normal spare tire/jack and keep it in the trunk like normal. If you get a rear flat use the spare. If you get a front tire flat: place the spare tire on the back / then place the good back tire on the front. The spare tires won't clear/fit over the Brembo brake caliber or call the 1-800 number on your card and they will tow you to the closest dealer....hope they are open?

As far as options....what do you like? I agree that a base 300A GT with 3.73 and Brembo kit is all we need but, having bought strippers in the past, I know that eventually I wished I bought the more optioned cars. It all depends on what you want to spend? Good luck with the decision!!

Mince comes with a doughnut spare also, but I do not have 19in rims nor the Brembo front brake options.

The 19in rims and brembo front brake optioned cars never come with a doughnut, only the fix-a-flat can and cheap-o air pump.

Avoid fix a flat. I've been told those trash the TPS in the wheel if you use em.

Good to know. I will mark a mental note not to ever buy that S*** anymore especially since all cars today are being sold with TPS.
