lost key replacement

to program a new key you need two working keys. If you only have one key, then you need to go to the dealer so that they can cut and program the key.
After losing one key I bought an extra so that I have 3 keys now and if one gets lost I just need to get a key and have it cut - the programming of the third key is easy.

You can get a PATS key off ebay real cheap. You can get it cut at a hardware store cheap.
The problem is programming the key. If you don't have 2 in hand, you won't be able to self program. You'll have to fork out the $$ and go to the dealership. Also you can get a Fob cheap off ebay. You should be able to program that with just one fob.
That is why I currently have 3 working PATS keys for my car. I'm not paying the $120-$150 to get one at the dealership.
